My First eBook! And it’s FREE!

Hi all! Just letting you know I created my first ebook and it’s FREE on iBook for both iPad and iPhone. It’s a short story about a young woman in the 1940s who goes to the shore with her family to keep her mind off her future husband who is off to war. She meets a young woman there and…you’ll have to read it to find out more!  You can find it by searching Dennis Finocchiaro or for the title, Wildwood, 1942.

And here is a helpful video on how to get iBooks for your Mac/PC if you don’t own one of the other technologies!

  1. that’s amazing! i’ll definitely check it out. kudos to you for completing a book and getting it out there. that’s kind of the amazing thing about all the electronic e-readers, is being able to sidestep publishing houses. congratulations!

    • Thank you! It’s a medium I think is very important and I wanted to try it out. I have a few books published but wanted to try this as well.

  2. Can’t wait to read this! *downloading*

  3. There is something so wonderfully nostalgic about the towns that make up the Jersey shores. Im excited to read it. I want to write a story in Cape May soon. In Atlantic City back in the day they had a ride at Tropworld that took you through the history of AC and I always loved when they talked about the 1920-1940s. The ride was boring to most but I rode it like 50 times an enjoyed it every time. :)

    • I totally agree. I hope you ended up finding it! But then, you’re in another country right now, it might not be available there yet (or ever). Sorry buddy! I’m working on Kindle versions too…maybe it will work there!

  4. Really enjoyed this – the idea of forbidden love is wonderful to read, especially in the context of that time. I love how you created that whole story from a simple photograph! Would be amazing to know who the two girls actually were in real life, what their real story was.. Probably not half as interesting as this one! Great read, thanks den! :)

  5. Just downloaded it! Can’t wait to read it! :)
